Homeless Student Placement:

Dispute Resolution Policy

As students and families facing homeless conditions are already under significant stress, it is the policy of Warren Local School District to resolve any educational placement issues for such students as quickly as possible.

In the event that a homeless student's parent(s) disputes the educational placement of the student, an appeal can be made in appearance or in writing to the Superintendent of Warren Local School District.

If further dispute is registered, after a review of the facts of the situation, a final decision will be made by a committee composed of the District Homeless Liaison Officer, a Building Principal, and the Superintendent.  Such a decision will be rendered within 10 business days of the disputed decision.
